Charleston Fashion Week is many things— but sane is not one of them. Designers give up sleep for days, models the height of small buildings dwarf you (and your very not high heeled converse), and you accidentally hot glue your jeans to a couch. Okay, maybe the last one's just me.

For us, hell week is having all of our exams and papers in the same week. For designers, hell week is when inspiration strikes at the last minute and they rework and add to all of their garments that will imminently be closely inspected and shown on the runway.

Sleep deprivation is a given and showering becomes optional, but by the time the collection is shown on the runway it's damn near perfect.

Enjoy a few behind the scenes shots of designer Lisa N. Hoang's collection, and shots from the runway on March 18th.
