At the end of every year, we sit down and set a list of goals we want to achieve over the next 12 months. We buy new workout clothes, spend money on a gym membership (that is likely to be canceled), and use Pinterest to find a bunch of corny motivational quotes to “inspire” us. “The new year is going to be MY year.” And yet every year...we fail.
SO, this year I decided to make a perfectly mediocre list of goals that are ACTUALLY attainable and easy to keep up with. Here they are:
Eat some green things...occasionally.
Work out once a week. Every other week? Once a month? Not sure. We’ll see.
Be more spontaneous.
Try to keep your bank balance alive. But don’t forget to treat yo self.
Brush my hair every morning.
Remember to write 2018 on assignments instead of 2017.
Try to not stay up until 3 a.m. binge watching The Office.
Grades aren't everything. It is sometimes okay to choose the occasional party over reading 100 pages for a Gen Ed class that will not matter in four years. LIVE your life.
Be nice to others.
Focus on yourself. Stop questioning if you are good enough for other people. Start questioning if THEY are good enough for YOU. *flips hair*
2018 is going to be a great year, people! With these reasonably reachable goals, I think we can finally make it our year.
P.S. Here’s my Spotify playlist that gets me through my walks on the treadmill. If you decide to workout once a week...or once a month...check it out!
